Berlin - Lietzowkiez

We're starting a brand-new community orchestra in Berlin: NKB Kollektiv — and I’m looking for musicians to join the very first ensemble! The idea came from a simple feeling: there are so many musicians in Berlin who love classical music and would love to play more, but don’t necessarily have an orchestra to play with. So we want to create one. ❤️ NKB Kollektiv is primarily for amateur and hobby musicians, but professional musicians who want to play more are just as welcome. Maybe you’ve been playing for years, maybe you’ve recently picked your instrument up again, maybe you’re a teacher with students who would love the experience of playing in an orchestra — or maybe you just love this repertoire and want to make music with other people. For our first program, we’ll be playing: 🎼 Mozart — The Marriage of Figaro Overture 🎼 Bach — Air from Orchestral Suite No. 3 🎼 Grieg — Peer Gynt: Morning Mood 🎼 Dvořák — Symphony No. 9, II. Largo 🎼 Tchaikovsky — The Nutcracker: Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy 🎼 Tchaikovsky — The Nutcracker: Waltz of the Flowers 🎼 Brahms — Hungarian Dance No. 5 We’ll rehearse Wednesdays from 18:30–20:30 in Moabit. I’m hoping to build something that is musically rewarding but also relaxed, friendly and genuinely community-oriented — a place where you can come after work, pick up your instrument, and spend two hours making music together.
